Salmon with Creamy Pesto Orzo
A Healthy, Easy Meal Sure To Impress
Directions for the Salmon
Prep your salmon filet by patting it dry and coating the top with a layer of salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
Heat up your pan to a medium-low setting with the olive oil.
Place the seasoned salmon skin-side down on the pan.
Once the skin begins to darken and becomes nice and crispy, gently flip the salmon and sear on the top side.
Ingredients
1 lb. salmon filet
1 cup orzo pasta
1 tbsp. olive oil
Small cluster of asparagus
1 small jar Pesto sauce
1 jar Alfredo pasta sauce
salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
Directions for Orzo
Boil a pot of salted water and add the orzo pasta.
While the pasta is cooking, rinse and chop the asparagus into bite- sized pieces.
When the salmon is cooked, remove from the pan and add the asparagus to saute in the fish oils for 2 to3 minutes.
Turn off the heat and add your strained orzo to the pan along with asparagus.
Mix in your desired amount of pesto and cream sauce, plus salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
