Directions for Ragu Sauce

  1. Heat up a deep sauce pan and add 1 table spoons of olive oil

  2. Add the ground italian sausage and mince until cooked through and crispy

  3. Remove the sausage and add the finely diced onion

  4. Once translucent add the finely chopped garlic and a splash of olive oil

  5. Once the garlic is fragrant add the tomato paste and mix

  6. Add the thinly sliced carrots and celery

  7. Deglaze the pan with cherry mead

  8. Allow some of the alcohol to boil off before adding the beef broth and tomato sauce

  9. Add the sausage back and allow the ragu to simmer and thicken

  10. When ready, plate the pasta of your choice and add the ragu!


Ingredients

  • 1 lbs ground italian sausage

  • 1 can unsalted tomato sauce

  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste

  • 2 medium sized carrots

  • 1 large yellow onion

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 2 stalks of celery

  • ½ cup cherry moment

  • ½ cup beef broth

  • 1 box of fettuccine
